Dear Henry Barnard Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year! As the Henry Barnard School Parent Association president this year, I invite all of you to get involved in HBS activities and events. By having a child/children at the school you are automatic members of the HBSPA. We work with HBS teachers and administrators to provide enrichment for our children, facilitate communication and build our school community. Our events, activities, and fundraising serve to enrich the learning and social experience of our children.
Please join us for the HBSPA meetings on the third Thursday of every month from 8-9am in the cafeteria. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 21st. We know that many schedules do not allow parents/guardians time to attend the morning meeting, please look for the meeting minutes that will be sent out after every meeting. Additionally all parent communication, including meeting minutes will be archived on the website.
We have many exciting changes coming this year and are looking forward to continuing to build a strong community of HBS students, parents, teachers and administrators. If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.

The Henry Barnard School Parent Association works in conjunction with the HBS administration and staff to provide varied enrichment and educational programs for HBS students while fostering communication to promote the educational and emotional development of our children. Your participation is always encouraged at our meetings held monthly on Thursday mornings. In the event a meeting date must be moved from the third Thursday due to scheduling conflicts we will indicate it on the schedule with an asterisk (*).
HBSPA Meeting Schedule
The HBSPA is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of HBS parents and friends to support our programming and events. Our fundraising events throughout the year help support the classrooms and assist us in keeping event fees affordable for all families. The HBSPA Board understands the different financial constraints upon out families and under no circumstances should families feel obligated to make donations. We want all families to be able to participate in our community events and we are happy to announce the additional of several free events in the 2017-2018 school year including Family Movie Night and Family Reading Night.
Although we will not make a formal request for dues beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, if you are in a position to make additional an additional donation to a particular event or program please feel free to submit the form below to the parent drawer.
