Attendance and Punctuality
Daily interaction with materials and concepts over time is the most important way that students learn. Attendance at school is imperative to learner success. In the same way, punctual arrival at school ensures that all learners begin the day by greeting classmates, following routines and settling into the classroom without feeling rushed.
We ask that you call or email the school in the morning if your child is to be absent.
Please remember the following expectations at carport during arrival and dismissal.
- 1. Drive slow
- 2. Hang up your phone
- 3. Stay in line – Do not pass!
- 4. Stay in your car
The safety of our students is a top priority. All visitors must enter the building by the door near the main office. Visitors check in at the security window before being allowed entry into the building. We ask everyone to sign in, state the purpose of the visit and report straight to the office where we can assist you. We require BCI’s of all volunteers, student workers, practicum students and those conducting observations.
