¡Qué viva la Raza! We’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage month at HBS! On October 12, during our Friday Community Building Hour, HBS students were able to rotate through three different activities to celebrate Hispanic culture.
On Friday, September 28th, HBS learners and their teachers were lucky enough to experience a fun-filled weather-themed assembly featuring NYC Meteorologist Ron Trotta and NYC children’s book author, Elly McGuire, along with their furry celebrity pup named Schmitty!

Each year on International Dot Day the inspiration continues. What started as a story in the pages of a book is transforming teaching and learning around the world as people of all ages re-discover the power and potential of creativity in all they do.
We learned Henry Barnard is just one of the many buildings located on the campus of Rhode Island College.
Older students came into the younger students classrooms to be reading buddies and building new relationships. HBS is a supportive, student-centered community where mentorship will benefit the entire school by helping your classroom and connecting disparate groups of students.
Today we had our first ever Friday afternoon Community Building Hour at HBS! A weekly tradition on Friday afternoons during the last hour of the school day.
Art Night is a festival that displays the extraordinary art of our HBS students around the school. A memorable night every year.
