The hallways throughout the school were covered with a riot of colored strips all over the floor, and five minutes later, the leftover strips were all neatly resting in trays, organized by color, with nothing at all on the floors! HBS students gathered in the cafeteria to hear from RIC student and veteran, Sergeant Jerome Musco. Sergeant Musco was a Military Police Officer in the Army National Guard in Iraq.
On Friday the 26th, J’ana Brooks and I handed out pink ribbons to as many teachers as we could, though sometime the following week before November we plan to hand out ribbons to the students and teachers who did not receive a ribbon yet.
Our featured performance began with The Beat Ensemble followed by the HBS Chorus. Both groups are with students from 4th and 5th grade. The Chorus performed music from different cultures with dance moves on some songs too.
